Meet at the Rose Garden on Lazy Lane Blvd at 6:30pm in your festive outfit! Beware that parking is tight in the area. And then join us at Kenneally's (2111 Shepherd) for some holiday drinks! ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ Social Calendar ­ Join us Friday evening at Bacco Wine Garden on Montrose (3615 Montrose Blvd), a wine bar with an expansive outdoor space in the Montrose area. We will meet around 7PM.   Post on Facebook if you will be early! ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ Alex's 5k post-race autism fundraiser ­ We had a very successful race on November 6, but we're not finished fundraising!   Help us raise more $$ for our charities - Avondale House, The Westview School, and Autism Speaks - and potentially win premium tickets to upcoming Houston Texans' Home Games.   Generous benefactors have provided 4 pairs of premium tickets for our giveaway. 4 luck winners will each receive 2 tickets and one platinum parking pass for one of the games.   TICKET DETAILS: The game dates (opponents) are: Dec 5th (vs Indy Colts) - 2 pairs of tickets Dec 12th (vs Seattle Seahawks) - 2 pairs of tickets Located in Section 140 Row X with parking in an assigned space in the Platinum lot Tickets are electronic and will be forwarded to the winner's email address   Value of the game tickets (per pair) and parking pass (one per pair of game tix) is >$325.   Donate to the fundraiser through our special link   Every $10 donation provides 1 entry. ($10 donation = 1 entry, $50 = 5 entries) Random drawing will take place at noon, Thursday, December 2, 2021. Winners will be contacted by email or text and will choose game day in order of the draw.   All proceeds will be divided among our charities. Alex's 5k-BCRR is an all-volunteer, non-profit 501©3 organization. We will be holding the garage sale at the Modern on Friday and Saturday, December 3 and 4. Help with set-up/selling/clean-up is appreciated. Stop by 4003 Hazard St Thursday starting at 4pm for set-up, Friday 7am-6pm to help sell, Saturday 8am-3pm to help sell and at 3pm on Saturday for clean-up. Drop off donations anytime. Wearing a mask is still strongly encouraged and may be required at the venues we patronize.   ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ Sunday NEEDS Hydration! ­ Who likes water during the Sunday long runs? Especially in the summer! Our Sunday morning hydration team could use a little more help as people go on vacation. Please contact Loris for more information on how to volunteer! ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ Weekly Club Runs ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ Mellow Monday ­ 7pm at Memorial Park Tennis Center for a 3 mile casual paced run around the Park and dinner to follow ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ Wednesday Run ­ 6:30pm at The Rose Garden for a ~4 mile run around River Oaks to see the light displays followed by drinks at Kenneally's (2111 Shepherd) ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ Friday Speedwork ­ 5:30am at Memorial Park Tennis Center.
