First Sunday of the Month Bayou Run & Breakfast
Join us Sunday, February 3rd for a break from the routine by running along the Buffalo Bayou.
Afterwards, join us for breakfast at La Guadalupana Bakery & Cafe (2109 Dunlavy St) a family run eatery with sweet treats and Mexican breakfast!!

(As most seating is outdoors, in the event of rain, we will migrate to Cafe Brazil down the street)

WEEKLY CLUB RUNS:
Mellow Monday- Join us every Monday for a 3 mile recovery run around Memorial Park at 7:00 PM. Runners who are interested should park on the east side of the parking lot in front of the softball fields off of the Picnic Loop. Following a loop around Memorial, we head to a dinner venue for post running fun.
Wednesday at Rice University: Every Wednesday evening we meet at 6:30 PM at Rice University (run leaves at 6:40 PM sharp!). All levels are welcome. And the best part is the cheap beer at Valhalla afterwards. Parking is available at First Christian Church/School (1628 Rice Boulevard).
To park in the church parking lot, you need a BCRR bumper sticker. Please see Lisa Thompson for a sticker if you do not already have one.
Friday Speedwork (Memorial Park 5:30 AM): Contact Peter Griffiths for more information-  p_griffiths@bellsouth.net
Sunday Long Run (Memorial Park, 6:30 AM): Meet us at the Tennis Center (Old 0 Mile Marker) for a 10, 11, or 12 mile route around Memorial Park and through River Oaks. Immediately following the run, join us Whole Foods for coffee and conversation.
**Please note that in cases of inclement weather, i.e. thunder & lightning, group runs will be cancelled for safety reasons. Check the BCRR Facebook Page for the latest updates on run cancellations**

Special THANK YOU to Sue Leone & Alan Svoboda, Chuck Bracht & Cheryl Verlander, and Jim Knievel & Ivy Martino for the chopping, cooking, and baking of all the delicious food!!! The Post-Race Party is definitely the BEST part of Marathon Weekend.

GRB Run – Sunday, January 13th

Thank you to all who came out and ran or supported the multi-club event! We had ~100 runners who were wonderfully hydrated by Rosie & John Phillips.

Pasta Loading Party – Friday, January 18th
The Carb-loading Pasta Party will be at Buca Di Beppo (5192 Buffalo Speedway) at 7:30PM on Friday.

Gear Collection
This “Gear Collection” is for any items you might need on the race course - i.e. Gu’s, socks, sunglasses, etc. Please place items in a ziplock - labeled with your name, preferred aid station drop, and pace.

Gear will be collected by Christina Jones at the following times:
  • Wednesday, January 16th @ Valhalla following the run
  • Friday, January 18th @ the Pasta Loading Party

*** There will be NO gear pick up marathon morning!***
Security does not allow non-runners into the convention center.
During the Race:
BCRR will have 2 sponsored Hoopla Stations. Please email the host below to help cheer on your fellow runners:

An additional watch and/or drop off location for will be located at the corner of Bissonnett & Mandell – With host’s Chuck and Cheryl providing Mimosas and Bloody Mary’s for those cheering! (5314 Mandell). Feel free to drop off clothing as the race temperature rises. Clothing will be brought to the post-race party.
