BCRR Spring Banquet

Due to the increasing number of COVID cases in the area, the BCRR Spring Banquet will be postponed until a later date in June.

 

The club is looking forward to celebrating a great year of running when it is safe for all members to attend!!

Nominations for Board Members are open now. Roles are: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and At-Large Member. Self-nominations are encouraged!

HARRA Updates!!!

  1. HARRA Spring Runner of the Season (RotS): Provisional rankings based on best 3/5 HARRA Series Races. Please review if you ran any of the races to make sure you were recorded correctly. (Common problems are misspelled or different name in race results than in HARRA database or wrong gender or age-group in the race results.) Top runners earn cash awards, so it may be worth your time to have a look!

  2. HARRA Awards Banquet and Elections - Saturday, June 5th, 5:30-8:30PM at Saint Arnold Brewery.
    Celebrate the end of a great running year! Guest Speaker: George Rehmet, current president of the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA). Buffet dinner with Saint Arnold beverages. Raffle prizes and awards for the fall and spring series (Runner of the Season, Club/Team Competitions, and Ironfoot) and top volunteers (VVIP). $30 now; $35 at the door.

Even as the number of cases decreases, the BCRR Board kindly requests that you receive the COVID vaccination to minimize the risk to yourself and others. Wearing a mask is still encouraged. Please maintain social distancing prior to and following club runs.

Who likes water during the Sunday long runs? Especially in the summer! Our Sunday morning hydration team could use a little more help as people go on vacation. Please contact Loris for more information on how to volunteer!

7pm at Memorial Park Tennis Center for a 3 mile casual paced run around the Park and dinner to follow

6:30pm at First Christian Church for a 3-6 mile run around Rice University and Hermann Park followed by drinks at Valhalla

5:30am at Memorial Park Running Center. Contact Peter Griffiths for more info

Sunday Long Run

6:30am at Memorial Park Tennis Center for a 10-12 mile supported run with water at 2 locations followed by breakfast

**Please note that in cases of inclement weather, i.e. thunder & lightning, group runs will be cancelled for safety reasons. Check the BCRR Facebook Page for the latest updates on run cancellations**

 

If you are feeling ill, have a fever, or have been exposed to an individual who has tested positive for COVID-19, please do not attend club runs for 2 weeks.
