­ ­ ­ Good Morning Bayou City Road Runners ­ The Word from the Bird ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ BCRR Spring Banquet Wednesday, May 25th @ St. Arnold's Brewery ­ It's time to celebrate the end of a successful year of running at BCRR's Spring Banquet. The banquet will be held at St. Arnold's Beer Hall on Wednesday, May 25th @ 6:30PM    Tickets are $15 at the door (cash or check) and this includes dinner and beer for the evening.    Please RSVP HERE so we can gather an accurate head count.    There will be awards, BCRR swag, and the cookie table will return!    Bring a family favorite dessert to share and compete for King or Queen of the Cookie Table!   ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ Board Nominations! ­ Nominations for Board Members are open now. Roles are: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and At-Large Member. Self-nominations are encouraged! ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ 2022-2023 Membership Renewal ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ It’s time to renew your BCRR Membership for the 2022-2023 Running Season!!! Renewal will be open starting at the Spring Banquet. If you do not attend the banquet, a link will be provided in the coming weeks for online renewal.    Membership Costs: ($5 Discount for HARRA Members) Individual Membership: $30 Family Membership: $35   ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ Weekly Club Runs ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ Mellow Monday ­ 7pm at Memorial Park Tennis Center for a 3 mile casual paced run around the Park and dinner to follow ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ Wednesday Run ­ 6:30pm at First Christian Church for a 3-6 mile run around Rice University and Hermann Park followed by drinks at Valhalla ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ Friday Speedwork ­ 5:30am at Memorial Park Running Center. Contact Peter Griffiths for more info ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ Sunday Long Run 6:30am at Memorial Park Tennis Center for a 10-12 mile supported run with water at 2 locations followed by breakfast ­ ­ ­ ­ **Please note that in cases of inclement weather, i.e. thunder & lightning, group runs will be cancelled for safety reasons.
