HELLO BAYOU CITY ROAD RUNNERS
First Sunday of the Month Bayou Run & Breakfast!
Join us Sunday, February 7th for a break from the routine by running along the Buffalo Bayou. We will need one or two volunteers to set out water & Gatorade along the route. Please reply to this email to volunteer.
Afterwards, join us for breakfast at The Kitchen at The Dunlavy (3422 Allen Parkway) for a brunch with a lovely view of Buffalo Bayou!

HARRA is sponsoring an Olympics Trials Marathon Watch Party for all on February 13th from noon to 3 pm at the Gorgeous Gael on their 120 inch screen in Rice Village. In 2012 at the trials in Houston, we were thrilled to see the field on our Memorial and Allen Parkway roadways. LA has the honor in 2016. This year, we are thrilled by eight local qualifiers entered to race against favorites like Meb Keflezighi, Shalene Flanagan, Dathan Ritzenheim, Desiree Linden and more. Come show your pride in Houston and USA distance running among your brothers and sisters. No cover, just come to cheer and socialize and look ahead to what we hope is Trials Houston 2020! An Adventure in Farming; Growing coffee and chasing bulls in Ecuador.
Rich and Cheryl own farm(s) in Ecuador, South America where they are growing coffee (and running) in the foothills of the Andes at 5000' elevation. They will be doing a live interview on KPFT (90.1) Eco-Ology program, Tuesday, Feb. 2nd from 3 - 4.
They will talk about their experiences and adventures in beautiful Ecuador. It will be available for later listening from KPFT's archive on their website. Visit our coffee farm on the website: abovethecloudscoffee.com

WEEKLY CLUB RUNS:
Mellow Monday- Join us every Monday for a 3 mile recovery run around Memorial Park at 7:00p.m.Runners who are interested should park on the east side of the parking lot in front of the softball fields off of the Picnic Loop. The goal is to increase membership and recruit new members with this new social event. Following a loop around Memorial, we head to a dinner venue for post running fun. **Please note that in cases of inclement weather, i.e. thunder & lightning, Mellow Monday will be cancelled for safety reasons.
Wednesday at Rice University: Every Wednesday evening we meet at 6:15 at Rice University (run leaves at 6:30 pm sharp!). All levels are welcome. And the best part is the cheap beer at Valhalla afterwards. Parking is available at First Christian Church/School (1628 Rice Boulevard).
To park in the church parking lot, you need a BCRR bumper sticker. Please see Lisa Thompson for a sticker if you do not already have one.

Sunday Long Run (Memorial Park, 6:30 AM): Meet us at the O mile marker for a 10, 11, or 12 mile route around Memorial Park and through River Oaks. Immediately following the run, join us Whole Foods for coffee and conversation.
