Road Kill XC Relay What: 4 X 2-mile Relay When: Saturday, September 28, 8AM Where: Bear Creek Park Gird your loins for the annual fall 4 X 2-mile cross-country relay. First race of the HARRA Fall Series.    As usual, BCRR will be sponsoring teams in which all runners have current BCRR and HARRA memberships (you must have BCRR designated as your primary club in your HARRA profile). You must renew both memberships before the race!    TEAM COORDINATORS: By now you should have been contacted by your age-group team coordinator. BCRR Beach Day - This Saturday   Head over to Surfside Beach on Saturday, September 21st @10AM for a BCRR Beach Day! Bring your cold drinks, food to grill, beach chairs, and an umbrella - to enjoy some fun in the sand! We will have the BCRR pop-up, a charcoal grill, and a campfire! Houston Marathon Kick Off Party   Tuesday, September 24, 6-8PM Memorial Park Cullen Timing Track  Join us at the Houston Marathon Training Kick Off Party next Tuesday! Our club will be there along with 20 local charities from the Chevron Houston Marathon Run for a Reason charity program and other event sponsors. There will be free Taqueria Arandas tacos, treats, and Brooks Running shoe demos on the track, courtesy of Fleet Feet. Refreshments will be provided by Michelob Ultra and Gatorade while Chevron Houston, Houston Methodist, Memorial Park Conservancy, and the Houston Marathon Committee will be there with special giveaways and entertainment.

HARRA Fall Series Races   BCRR is a longstanding member club of the Houston Area Road Runners Association (HARRA).  HARRA conducts a fall and spring race series. We encourage our members to join HARRA and compete in these races. Based on age-graded performance, members accrue points for themselves as well as our club. Individual competition results in the Runner of the Season (RotS) awards  (with cash prizes of $85-$120 for the top runners). These data are also used for BCRR's year end Runner of the Year Awards. Your RotS scores contribute to BCRR's standing in the HARRA Interclub Competition. Thanks to you, BCRR is the current HARRA Club Champion! Alex's 5K & Kids' K - November 2, 2024 Registration is now open for the 14th annual edition of our race. Thanks to all of you, we have raised over $230,000 for autism charities over the last 13 years! We raised $27,000 from last year's race alone! We are confident - with your help - that we can do even better this year! NEW: Due to the upcoming construction at MacGregor Park, we will be staging the race from a new venue: Avondale House (3737 O’Meara Drive, Houston, Texas 77025) Avondale House is one of our beneficiaries and was Alex's school. Stay tuned for more details.

Mellow Monday 7 pm at Memorial Park Tennis Center (on trail in front of Center) for a 3 mile casual paced run around the Park and dinner to follow	Wednesday Run 6:30 pm at First Christian Church for a 3-6 mile run around Rice University and Hermann Park followed by drinks at Valhalla	Friday Speedwork 5:30 am at Memorial Park Running Center.
