Save The Dates: Holiday Event Schedule! ­ ­ Alex's 5K Recap On behalf of myself and Milan Jamrich, we thank everyone who helped make Alex's 5k & Kids' K a great success again this year!   We are so grateful and honored by the continued efforts of everyone at BCRR to keep Alex's memory alive and raise money and awareness for autism charity every year. This includes all who have volunteered, run or donated to our cause.  There were some terrific BCRR performances on Saturday, including 1st Overall Male, Valentino Jay (15:55) and 1st Masters Female, Ally Serrao (22:15). The race was also the 2025 RRCA Texas 5K Championship and the following BCRR members were on the podium: Valentino Jay (Open Male), Ally Serrao (Masters Female), Jody Berry (25:29; 60+ Female, and Theresa Pearsall (29:05; 70+ Female) There were a number of BCRR folks among the age-group winners as well. Congratulations all! FULL RESULTS Special thanks to Bernard Castro and Hardeep Thind for taking such great pictures of the event!  PHOTOS ­ Harvest Marathon Relay ­ Medal Monday ­ Congratulations to everyone who participated in the Harvest Marathon Relay this Sunday! BCRR fielded 2 teams of runners (for a total donation of $1000 for the Houston Food Bank) We had a great time too!  Kudos to Steve Hasson for spearheading this endeavor for several years to support the food bank. Photo: M. Use code BCRR2025 for discount. ­ ­ New York Marathon ­ Medal Monday ­ Congrats to all who toed the line at the New York Marathon this Sunday! Leyla Østerhus (3:36:45 ), Eivind Østerhus (3:39:01 ), Ankur Patel (5:29:23 ), BCRR Ex-Pat Frank Dougherty (2:53:12). Props to Avi Moss for giving it his all and making the difficult, but prudent, decision to save himself for another day. ­ Valhalla Wednesday - Alumni Night! This Wednesday is Alumni Night and the Valhalla tab will be sponsored by Mike DeAyala in celebration of his birthday!    This will be our 28th week of sponsored Valhalla tabs! The Wednesday run, as always, starts at 6:30PM sharp from the First Christian Church Parking lot. ­ Next HARRA Race: HMSA 25K - Sunday, Nov. 23rd The HMSA Classical 25K, presented by the Houston Masters Sports Association (HMSA), is the 4th race in the HARRA Fall Series and a Warmup Series Race leading up to the Chevron Houston Marathon. The HMSA 25K is also a selection race for the Chevron Houston Marathon Local Elite Program. Not up for the distance? Run the 10-miler or the 5K and still be part of this great community event.
