Park cars, get waivers signed, and then a shuttle bus will transport everyone to the put in location. After boat assignments and a quick safety and instructional briefing, it's in the bayou we go.

Recommended stuff to wear and bring: closed toe shoes recommended, like old running shoes or something similar. Hat and sunglasses with leashes. Shirt and shorts, non-cotton tech fabrics recommended. Water. Leave a towel and change of clothes in your car for afterwards, since we'll be headed to a local establishment for food and drinks once we are done with the paddle trip.

This excursion is capped at 30 participants. Trip fee is $50 per person, includes the boat and all equipment, shuttle transport to the put in location, and guide service. Does not include drinks so please bring some water. Must book and pay in advance, no day-of registrations will be accepted.
***A minimum of twenty people to sign up in order to make the trip happen. If we have fewer than 20 paid registrants as of Wednesday July 22, the trip will cancel.***

WEEKLY CLUB RUNS:

Mellow Monday- Join us every Monday for a 3 mile recovery run around Memorial Park at 7:00p.m.Runners who are interested should park on the east side of the parking lot in front of the softball fields off of the Picnic Loop. The goal is to increase membership and recruit new members with this new social event. Following a loop around Memorial, we head to a dinner venue for post running fun. **Please note that in cases of inclement weather, i.e. thunder & lightning, Mellow Monday will be cancelled for safety reasons.

PLEASE NOTE that our Wednesday run at Rice University has changed effective immediately: Due to an increase in after school care, the First Christian Church cannot accommodate BCRR parking in the church lot until6:30 when their childcare day ends.  Every Wednesday evening we will now begin our weekly runs at 6:30.

If you choose to run before 6:30 please make alternate parking arrangements. Parking on Cherokee is free after 6:00 p.m. if you'd like to pre loop Rice. Please help us maintain our positive relationship with the church by respecting their needs. We sincerely appreciate your cooperation and flexibility with this.

To park in the church parking lot, you need a BCRR bumper sticker. Please see Lisa Thompson for a sticker if you do not already have one.

All levels are welcome. And the best part is the cheap beer at Valhalla afterwards. Parking is available at First Christian Church/School (1628 Rice Boulevard).

Friday Hills at Mount Bacon (Tanglewood):Join us for this weekly run from St. Martins Episcopal Church, 717 Sage Road to Mount Bacon. We meet in the church parking lot at the corner of Sage Road and Woodway Drive at 5:30 am.
