"Run for a Reason" BCRR Fundraisers


The following BCRR members are participating in the Run For A Reason program and could use your help in reaching their fundraising goals for this year:

Eric Faria is running for the CanCare, Inc. team.
CanCare provides free one-on-one emotional support to cancer patients and their family members across Houston, the United States, and world. CanCare matches cancer patients or caregivers with highly trained volunteers who know first-hand the physical, emotional, and spiritual turmoil that someone newly diagnosed and their family are experiencing.    Fundraise/Donate

Steve Hasson is running for the Houston Food Bank team.
The Houston Food Bank is the largest source of food for hunger relief charities in 18 southeast Texas counties. A network of nearly 500 food pantries, soup kitchens, senior centers and other agencies, feeding a total of 137,000 people each week, provides more than 65 million pounds of food and prepared meals annually.  Fundraise/Donate

Rebecca Kramer is running for the Lupus Foundation of America team.
Lupus Foundation of America, Texas Gulf Coast Chapter
The LFA supports individuals and families affected by lupus, improving the diagnosis and treatment of the disease through research, education, awareness, and support programs for health professionals and the public.  Fundraise/Donate

Bridget Kaminski is running for the Presbyterian Children's Homes and Services team.
Presbyterian Children's Homes and Services
Since its beginnings in 1903 as an orphanage, Presbyterian Children’s Homes and Services has been providing residential care and other services to children and families with no place else to turn. Whether it's through one of our group homes, a foster home, adoption, our Child and Family Program, or the Advanced Education and Aftercare Program, we do all we can to help show the children in our care that they are beloved children of God.  Fundraise/Donate

Chevron has partnered with the Houston Marathon Foundation to celebrate and recognize the success of Chevron Houston Marathon’s Run for a Reason Program. 

Please cast your vote for one of these charities. You must cast your vote by January 8th. (Limit one (1) vote per person.) On Sunday, January 13, Chevron will donate $50,000 to the charity that receives the most votes.
