| | “When the going gets tough, the tough get going,” and sometimes the tough get hammered with wind and rain. That was the case yesterday as about a dozen BCRR members showed up at Memorial Park determined to maintain the tradition of the Sunday morning long run. The pouring rain and intense winds were far from ideal, but spirits were high, and the runners managed to log their miles with a minimum of blisters and rashes. |

| HARRA Spring Series Ends with LP Run |
| | Saturday, May 13, many BCRR members competed in the LP Run at Rice stadium. Some of the members took time out to smile for the camera, including: (Front row) Larry Lindeen, Leyla Østerhus, and Ally Serrao, (Back row) Avi Moss, Kathleen Mahon, Dave Piper, and Eivind Østerhus. |
| The HARRA Spring Series' wrapped up Saturday with the LP Run. The 54th annual LP Run at Rice University Track Stadium was a hot and humid day for a race, but a good day for BCRR. Several BCRR members joined in running laps around the track for the 33 ⅓ minutes time limit; and when the time ended, the BCRR men had racked up the most miles ran. That earned BCRR first place in the men's club competition. The BCRR ladies' work took third place honors in the women's club competition. Individual stand outs on the day included Avi Moss, Peter Mullin, and Eivind Østerhus, all winning top honors in their respective age groups! Learn more at TerlinguaTrackClub.org/lp-run. |
