Speaking of HARRA Spring Series, up next is the last contest of the series, the LP Run. The 54th annual LP Run is scheduled for Saturday morning May 13, at Rice University Track Stadium. This race is all about you. You run as many laps around the track as you can in 33 ⅓ minutes. Runner with the most laps wins (in their respective age group)! Purple Power

BCRR purple was everywhere over the weekend. Including in the winner's circle at the Bayou City Bash, on Saturday! BCRR's open male team, featuring Kevin Diverde, Valentino Julien, Scott Moore and Andrew Young, won first place overall. BCRR's ladies proved winners too. The team of Jody Berry, Anna Helm, Tina Reynolds and Ally Serrao won first place in ladies' masters. BCRR ladies also took second place in masters, thanks to the work of Caryn Honig, Leyla Osterhaus, Amy Tan and Lisa Thompson. Not to be outdone, the ultra-veterans team of Nancy Greig, Brenda Hilton, Gloria Mahoney and Kathryn Vidal took first place for BCRR in their AG. Our most experienced runners, Larry Lindeen and Fred Steves took first place in uber-vet just in front of second place uber-vet team of Mike Mangan and JP Anderson.

These speedsters were not the only BCRR members earning podium status. See full RESULTS HERE. Kudos to all the BCRR runners racing Saturday; and a big THANK YOU to all the volunteers working Saturday (and many other days) that made the event a success!

Sundays Need Hydration Support

Who likes water during the Sunday long runs? Especially as the summer temps arrive! Our Sunday morning hydration team could use a little more help as people go on vacation. Please contact Loris at Loris0105@yahoo.com for more information on how to volunteer!
