Bayou City Classic 10K/5K - Saturday!

THIS SATURDAY 8AM! Hermann Square (in front of City Hall)   The Bayou City Classic 10K is a HARRA Spring Series Race, Texas' Oldest 10K, and the 2025 Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) Southwest Region 10K Championship.   Come out and run this great race! Still time to put together a centipede! Come hang out at the BCRR tent! Terrific post-race party!   Run in your BCRR singlet or shirt! Earn points for yourself in the HARRA Runner of the Season contest or for BCRR in the HARRA Club Competition (10K only). (Must be a current member of BCRR and HARRA to accrue points). HARRA Runner of the Season

HARRA's Runner of the Season (RotS) results for the HARRA Fall Race Series are now posted on the LEADERBOARD. Results are based on cumulative age-graded performance for 3/4 races.   Please check the results for accuracy and send any omissions or changes to Hans (info@harra.org ). All results final on 2/28/25.   The top 3 runners in each division receive a CASH award from HARRA. If you are in the money, please send your current mailing address to HARRA Treasurer Michelle (treasurer@harra.org).   All the BCRR money winners were listed last week except one:  Men 70+ - Fred Ward - 200.1 pts -1st place   Congratulations Fred and sorry for the omission.

­ HARRA Spring Race Series BCRR is a member club of the Houston Area Road Runners Association (HARRA) and participates in its competitions based on our members' performance in the HARRA Race Series.  Top runners in the individual categories receive cash awards. Rankings can be viewed on the HARRA Leaderboard. ­ Happy Hour No Official Happy Hour this week. Next Happy Hour will be at the Ion District,  5028 Bissonnet, Bellaire, TX, 7701, Friday, Feb 28th  at 6:30PM. 4201 Main St., Houston, TX 77002   Scheduling Note: Due to competing circumstances in the next few weeks, Happy Hours are being scheduled around conflicting events.  We are not scheduling on Valentines Day (Feb 14th) or the day before the Bayou City Classic (Feb 21st) because many of us are volunteering/running that race. The next happy hour will be February 28th. The happy hours will resume the every-other-week schedule on March 14th. ­ Sunday Hydration Support Supported long Runs will resume this Sunday!                                             🥛🥛🥛   Who likes water during the Sunday long runs? Weekly Club Runs

Mellow Monday 7 pm at Memorial Park Tennis Center (on trail in front of Center) for a 3 mile casual paced run around the Park and dinner to follow	Wednesday Run 6:30 pm at First Christian Church for a 3-6 mile run around Rice University and Hermann Park followed by drinks at Valhalla	Friday Speedwork 5:30 am at Memorial Park Running Center. Contact Peter Griffiths for more info	Sunday Long Run 6:30 am at Memorial Park Tennis Center (on trail in front of Center) for a 10-12 mile supported run w/ water at 2 locations followed by breakfast at Whole Foods in Montrose (701 Waugh Dr Houston, TX 77019)
