*I lost my mom's diamond earring  Saturday at John's Long Run. I think it fell out just as I came back to John's and was finishing the run. If anyone happened upon it please email me and let me know. I would sincerely appreciate it. -Heidi

Christmas Lights Run & Tacky Christmas Sweater Party: Lisa, thank you for hosting such a fun and festive event. Kudos for your multiple tacky ensembles and wardrobe changes. We raised $202 to support Saint Francis of Assisi Running Club students. Thank you to everyone who contributed.

Happy Hour:  (December 19, 2014) Join us this Friday to bid adieu to two of our Bayou City favorites before they move to Denver. We'll miss you, Tom and Sheila! We hope to see you at Mongoose versus Cobra, 1011 McGowen Street, Houston, 77002 at 6:30 p.m. 

After the Sunday Long Run: Join us for breakfast and coffee at Starbucks in Uptown Park, 1151 Uptown Park Boulevard.  

BCRR Midweek Update: John’s LOOOOOOOOOONG Run

SAVE THE DATE:  John’s LOOOOOOOOOONG Run is slated for Saturday, December 27th at John Phillip's House- 8211 Burkhart, Houston, Texas, 77055 at 6:30 a.m. 

The  full route is a 21 mile  loop with 6 water stops, but there are several ways to adjust the distance if you plan to run less. 

Make plans for breakfast, drinks, and a dip in the hot tub following the run. This year dinning will be alfresco. John will set up a tent with tables and chairs outside. All cooking will be done in the garage. 

The BCRR porta potties will be used if you need them. This year we will not have access to hot showers. John is asking for a minimum $5 donation to help with costs. Additionally John needs a few good souls to help with cooking and Gatorade. 

PLEASE RSVP to jrphillips@comcast.net so that John can make sure we have plenty of food and drinks. Arrive early enough to not miss the start and please be careful  when parking, there may be sprinklers or Christmas decorations near the street. This event is open to all BCRR members and guests. Let’s make your last long run before the marathon both productive and fun.
