Following this Wednesday’s run around the bayou, join us at Chuck & Cheryl’s (5314 Mandell St.) for a splash in the pool, pizza, & a special cocktail crafted by the graduates of Chuck’s Cocktail Class. See you at 7:30 PM!!

Fall Family Picnic
Join us Sunday, October 15th for our annual fall family picnic! The picnic will take place at Andrew the Young’s home, 4010 Mandell, from 1 – 5 PM.
BCRR Board will be manning the grill with burgers and hotdogs, feel free to bring a side or dessert.
The picnic will feature a Wiffle Ball Tournament so bring your best batting skills & gloves!

2017 Rockets Run
BCRR is responsible for race management of the 2017 Rockets Run! The race will be held Sunday, October 29th. This is also the same day as the Houston Half Marathon. Happy Hour – Sports Creek
(Friday, October 6th, 2017) Please join us this Friday at Sports Creek (2619 Polk St) – a laid back sports bar with outdoor volleyball courts. Bring your A game and join us for beer & Volleyball! We will meet at 6:30 PM.
Sunday – Whole Foods – To Return Next Week
WEEKLY CLUB RUNS:
Mellow Monday- Join us every Monday for a 3 mile recovery run around Memorial Park at 7:00p.m.Runners who are interested should park on the east side of the parking lot in front of the softball fields off of the Picnic Loop. Following a loop around Memorial, we head to a dinner venue for post running fun.
Wednesday at Rice University: Every Wednesday ev ening we meet at 6:30 at Rice University (run leaves at 6:40 pm sharp!). All levels are welcome. And the best part is the cheap beer at Valhalla afterwards. Parking is available at First Christian Church/School (1628 Rice Boulevard).
To park in the church parking lot, you need a BCRR bumper sticker. Please see Lisa Thompson for a sticker if you do not already have one.
Friday Speedwork (Memorial Park 5:30 AM): Contact Peter Griffiths for more information- p_griffiths@bell south.net
Sunday Long Run (Memorial Park, 6:30 AM): Meet us at the O mile marker for a 10, 11, or 12 mile route around Memorial Park and through River Oaks. Immediately following the run, join us Whole Foods for coffee and conversation.
