THIS WEEKEND is the next race in the HARRA Fall Series: HMSA Classical 25K - Sunday, November 26th.

Join us for a special 3 mile run around River Oaks, featuring the festively decorated houses! Afterwards we will celebrate with drinks at Kenneally’s Irish Pub on Shepherd.

John’s LOOOOONG RUN –

NEW LOCATION and planned 4 weeks prior to Marathon due to Christmas. This is the 17th year and the 2nd year for the new site at Sue Leone’s/Alan Svoboda’s Terrace Home (326 Terrace Ave. 77007)
This is open to all BCRR members and guests Start is 6:30 am from The Terrace House. It is a 21 mile single loop route with several ways to adjust the distance. More details to follow!

SOCIAL CALENDAR:
Happy Hour – Wooster’s Garden
(Friday, November 24th 2017) Please join us this Friday for happy hour at Wooster’s Garden (3315 Milam St). We are celebrating a BIG birthday for BCRR’s Jacqueline Flaherty, so come join us for some delicious cocktails and tasty beer! We’ll meet at 6:30 PM.
Sunday – Whole Foods – to return in 2 weeks
WEEKLY CLUB RUNS:
Mellow Monday- Join us every Monday for a 3 mile recovery run around Memorial Park at 7:00p.m.Runners who are interested should park on the east side of the parking lot in front of the softball fields off of the Picnic Loop. Following a loop around Memorial, we head to a dinner venue for post running fun.
Wednesday at Rice University: Every Wednesday evening we meet at 6:30 at Rice University (run leaves at 6:40 pm sharp!). All levels are welcome. And the best part is the cheap beer at Valhalla afterwards. Parking is available at First Christian Church/School (1628 Rice Boulevard).
To park in the church parking lot, you need a BCRR bumper sticker. Please see Lisa Thompson for a sticker if you do not already have one.
Friday Speedwork (Memorial Park 5:30 AM): Contact Peter Griffiths for more information- p_griffiths@bellsouth.net
Sunday Long Run (Memorial Park, 6:30 AM): Meet us at the O mile marker for a 10, 11, or 12 mile route around Memorial Park and through River Oaks. Immediately following the run, join us Whole Foods for coffee and conversation.
