Rockets Run

THANK YOU to all of our volunteers who showed up bright and early Saturday morning! The race was successful and well supported by BCRR!!

**As a THANK YOU - the club will be sponsoring a beer & pizza night at Valhalla, THIS Wednesday, November 14th!**

Fall Family Picnic

Join us Sunday, November 18th for our annual fall family picnic! The picnic will take place at Former Presidential Palace, 4010 Mandell, from 1 – 5 PM.
BCRR Board will be manning the grill with burgers and hotdogs, feel free to bring a side, dessert, or beverage.
We will have Wiffle Ball and Frisbee - any additional yard games welcome!!

HMSA Classical 25K

Now that it’s FINALLY cooler weather, let’s get ready for the next race in the HARRA Fall Series: HMSA Classical 25K - Sunday, November 25th.
 
Post-race party will be held at the Presidential Palace – 4010 Mandell St – complete with beer and food to refuel!!

SOCIAL CALENDAR:
Happy Hour – Kanaloa
(Friday, November 16th, 2018) Join us at Kanaloa (311 Travis St), for a unique Tiki Bar Experience! They have creative drinks in decorative glassware! Join us starting at 6:30 PM.

Sunday – Whole Foods
(Sunday, November 18th, 2018) Join us immediately following the long run for coffee and breakfast at Whole Foods on Waugh

WEEKLY CLUB RUNS:
Mellow Monday- Join us every Monday for a 3 mile recovery run around Memorial Park at 7:00 PM. Runners who are interested should park on the east side of the parking lot in front of the softball fields off of the Picnic Loop. Following a loop around Memorial, we head to a dinner venue for post running fun.
Wednesday at Rice University: Every Wednesday evening we meet at 6:30 PM at Rice University (run leaves at 6:40 PM sharp!). All levels are welcome. And the best part is the cheap beer at Valhalla afterwards. Parking is available at First Christian Church/School (1628 Rice Boulevard).
To park in the church parking lot, you need a BCRR bumper sticker. Please see Lisa Thompson for a sticker if you do not already have one.
Friday Speedwork (Memorial Park 5:30 AM): Contact Peter Griffiths for more information-  p_griffiths@bellsouth.net
Sunday Long Run (Memorial Park, 6:30 AM): Meet us at the Tennis Center (Old 0 Mile Marker) for a 10, 11, or 12 mile route around Memorial Park and through River Oaks. Immediately following the run, join us Whole Foods for coffee and conversation.
**Please note that in cases of inclement weather, i.e. thunder & lightning, group runs will be cancelled for safety reasons. Check the BCRR Facebook Page for the latest updates on run cancellations**
