The rumors thus far are true - Valhalla is closed for maintenance. This Wednesday, head to Valhalla anyways for Alex’s 5K Packet Stuffing! BCRR will provide the beer to keep you hydrated. Stuffing starts at 7:30 PM.

It’s time for Lisa’s Annual Halloween Party! Join us at the Modern B&B (4003 Hazard St.) for a terrifying time. Costumes are required or will be provided upon arrival. Bring a treat to share & see you at 8 PM!!

Houston Half Marathon - October 27th
It's time for the next run in the HARRA Fall Series - Houston Half Marathon on Sunday, October 27th at Sam Houston Park. Registration can be found HERE.
Afterwards, Paul & Sue Schulz have graciously opened their doors for a post-race party at 11:30AM including pizza, adult beverages, pool, and HOT TUB!! All runners and spectators are invited to attend. They live a short distance from Rice University at 3030 Amherst St. Please RSVP to pschulz100@gmail.com

WEEKLY CLUB RUNS:
Mellow Monday- Join us every Monday for a 3 mile recovery run around Memorial Park at 7:00 PM. Runners who are interested should park on the east side of the parking lot in front of the softball fields off of the Picnic Loop. Following a loop around Memorial, we head to a dinner venue for post running fun.
Wednesday at Rice University: Every Wednesday evening we meet at 6:30 PM at Rice University (run leaves at 6:40 PM sharp!). All levels are welcome. And the best part is the cheap beer at Valhalla afterwards. Parking is available at First Christian Church/School (1628 Rice Boulevard).
To park in the church parking lot, you need a BCRR bumper sticker. Please see Lisa Thompson for a sticker if you do not already have one.
Friday Speedwork (Memorial Park 5:30 AM): Contact Peter Griffiths for more information- p_griffiths@bellsouth.net
Sunday Long Run (Memorial Park, 6:30 AM): Meet us at the Tennis Center (Old 0 Mile Marker) for a 10, 11, or 12 mile route around Memorial Park and through River Oaks. Immediately following the run, join us Whole Foods for coffee and conversation.
