John’s Looooooong Run - Sunday, December 29th
Please see the below for details firsthand from John Phillips:
OK people, it’s time to make plans for John’s Loooooong run, the last long run before the marathon. The program is the same as the last 3 years. The date is Sunday December 29th. We will be starting at 326 Terrace Drive, less than a mile from the tennis center. The start is 6:30am rain or shine, so arrive early enough to drop your bags at the house and meet everyone. Late arrivers may have a long walk due to parking. We will have 6 water/Gatorade stops along the way. Also a clothing drop next to the water fountain as you leave the park. (~mile 3) The whole loop is 21 miles. But there are many ways to shorten as needed. Check out the route map. After the run join everyone for a multi-course breakfast including adult drinks. There will be a hot tub and pool to relax in also so bring a towel. If it’s raining or you are really sweaty please try to dry off a little before coming inside. We are pleased to have the Houston Striders joining us. So you vets help guide them along, we don’t want to lose anyone on the road.
For all this great food and fun we only ask 2 things.
- First please RSVP to Christina - christinabcrr@gmail.com so we can get a headcount to make sure there is enough food. And sending an e-mail 12 hours before the run doesn’t count.
- Second - we ask for a $8-$10 donation to help cover the cost (this run does not turn a profit). The donation can be placed before or after you run just don’t forget. Also if the fee is too high for your budget donate what you can. We don’t want a few dollars keeping you from joining the fun.
Let’s have another great BCRR event.
~John Phillips
