Membership Renewal Notes! Save $5 Thru June 30th Note: All memberships expire on June 30, 2025 unless you have already renewed during our Early Bird period. If you joined or renewed after 4/1/25 your membership is good for the upcoming running year (thru June 30, 2026).   If not, renew now and be good through 6/30/26!  Save $5 on memberships for the upcoming year. If you are a current HARRA member, you will save an additional $5 off your BCRR Membership (that's $10 off)! Prices increase on July 1st, 2025. BCRR MEMBERSHIP

Member News BCRR at the Hyrox World Championships ­   Congratulations to Ally Serrao for her performance in the Hyrox World Championships in Chicago, where she competed once again in the Pro Division. BCRR Surfside Beach Day - This Saturday!

Join BCRR for a day at the beach! This Saturday, June 21st - 11AM at Surfside (Brazoria County Beach). We’ll have a grill, a fire and a tent. Bring drinks, snacks and anything you want to grill.  Organized by Andrew & Christina Young.    Details and exact location announced closer to the date on the Facebook Event created by Andrew.

Mellow Monday 7 pm at Memorial Park Tennis Center (on trail in front of Center) for a 3 mile casual paced run around the Park and dinner to follow	Wednesday Run 6:30 pm at First Christian Church for a 3-6 mile run around Rice University and Hermann Park followed by drinks at Valhalla	Friday Speedwork 5:30 am at Memorial Park Running Center. Contact Peter Griffiths for more info	Sunday Long Run 6:30 am at Memorial Park Tennis Center (on trail in front of Center) for a 10-12 mile supported run w/ water at 2 locations followed by breakfast at Whole Foods in Montrose (701 Waugh Dr Houston, TX 77019)

BCRR Year End Party Recap Our Annual BCRR Year End Party took place last Friday night at the Fellowship Hall (St. Theresa's Catholic Church).  After a game of April Murphy's Ice-Breaker Bingo and a delicious Italian pasta dinner, the awards presentation ensued.    A detailed list of all awardees will appear in the next newsletter and on the website. The Awards Slideshow is posted on the website: https://www.bcrr.org/ or download the pdf HERE   Special Awards: Mike Mangan and Hope & Joe Sellers received BCRR Lifetime Achievement Awards in the form of custom bobble heads. This recognition reflects years of sustained leadership, support, and volunteerism - particularly in the realm of race management. For many years, Mike was race director of the Bayou Bash Relay and the the 25K (for HMSA) and course director for the Darling Dash and other races for BCRR over the years. The Sellers have managed the Rockets Run (and the now extinct Jingle Bell Run) for many years. These races all raised revenue for BCRR and their contributions are very appreciated.    Bob Thompson received the "John Phillips Award" for his over and above efforts in volunteering this year, including managing the BCRR Hoopla Station at the marathon, remapping Alex's 5k and Darling Dash race courses at the last minute, and always helping out with at the Boat Shed.     Loris Fusi received the "Athletic Supporter Award" for her long-standing management of the Sunday morning hydration crew and her enthusiastic support of club members and events.    Diana Berry received the "New Boots Award" - an all new award we created as she is our first Junior Division contender! Diana is only 14 and already a talented runner! She ran for BCRR in the the HARRA Spring Series, was 1st open woman in our standings and 5th in HARRA Spring RotS. If you volunteered for the for the inaugural Tejas Beer 5K at Tejas Brewery two weeks ago, you are entitled to a free race entry to one of the races put on by Run in Texas .
