Houston Marathon Legacy Guaranteed Registration Deadline - Tuesday |

you are planning to run either the Chevron Houston Marathon or the
Aramco Half Marathon in January, are a Legacy Runner (have run 10 or
more of either race), and haven't registered yet, now is the time!
Legacy pricing and registration for Legacy Runners is guaranteed until 11:59 p.m. CT Sept. 30, 2025. Not Oct 31st as in the past!
We've been informed that the race will probably sell out very soon!
On Oct. 1, 2025 at midnight, if sold out, you will no longer be able to register through Legacy Registration.
If not sold out and entries remain available, you will no longer
receive discounted legacy pricing and will need to register at the
current general participant rate. Price difference: Full: $140 legacy v $210 regular; Half: $125 legacy v $175 regular.

| | Valhalla - Alumni Night Wednesday! |

Due to the lightning and torrential downpour at the exact time of the run last Wednesday, we made the executive decision to officially reschedule the Valhalla tab that was to be sponsored by the ever-flexible Chris Eick to next Wednesday, October 8th. However, shout out to the people who did make it to Valhalla for post run libations! (photo: B. Kirkpatrick).
Technically, this broke our 21 week streak, but it resumes this Wednesday as it is Alumni Night and BCRR picks up the tab!
The Wednesday run, as always, starts at 6:30PM sharp from the First Christian Church Parking lot. |

| | Practice for the Tour XC Series |
|
|
|---|
|
HARRA's FREE Practice for the Tour Cross Country Series takes
place the first 3 Thursdays in October, and features three timed,
cross-country stages, held at different locations along our bayous.
Distances vary from three to five miles. Runners may run any or all of
the stages. Results will be announced each week before the race. A
laid-back, low key event. Racing not required, but having fun is!
BCRR members make this event work! Our own Anna Helm, together with Roger Boak, organizes this event and lays the trail. BCRR Board member Joel DuBois procures the post-race carb replacement beverages generously donated by Karbach Brewing Co. Of course, volunteers are always welcome!
Fall 2025 Practice for the Tour stages are run on Thursdays and start at 6:00 p.m.
The races are free and open to everyone, you just have to promise to be careful! |

The Space City 10-Miler (and Relay) is this Sunday, October 5th at the UH Clear Lake campus. This is the 1st individual race of the HARRA Fall Series and is put on by our BARC brethren. Look for the BCRR tent!
Post Race Party: Ron Morgan & Theresa Pearsall's House. See your weekly email for address or come to the BCRR tent at the event for directions. (About 3 miles from the race site. Come to race prepared to party!)
