There's a rumor floating that some Boston Marathon Finishers will be celebrating with a tab.... If you would like to sponsor, contact houstonbcrr@gmail.com The run, as usual, will start from the First Christian Church Parking lot at 6:30PM sharp! ­ Bayou City Bash Relay - Saturday BCRR'S OWN RACE! CALLING ALL RUNNERS AND VOLUNTEERS! OUR RACE IS 4 DAYS AWAY! We are in final preparation for our race!  We still need volunteers! What: 4 person x 2.2 mile relay and the penultimate race of the HARRA Spring Series. When: Saturday, April 25th, 4PM - Followed immediately by the HARRA Member Appreciation Family Picnic, which is FREE to all relay runners and HARRA members.  Where: TC Jester Park, 201 T C Jester Blvd, Houston, TX 77018   Both BCRR and HARRA will have an "Early Bird" registration period so it will be easy (and cheaper) to renew in time for the race (good through 6/30/27).  FREE Kids Race!  MORE DETAILS VOLUNTEERS NEEDED We could use a few more people to help set up on race day at the park!  Not able to run? Please volunteer. HARRA has an "Early Bird" registration period (beginning 4/15/26) so it will be easy (and cheaper) to renew in time for the race (memberships good through 6/30/27). Join or Renew Early Bird BCRR registration will be opening this Thursday!    Save $5 on both memberships for the upcoming year. If you are a current HARRRA member, you will save an additional $5 off your BCRR Membership. What a deal! ­ Tour de Bayou - Stage 3: Stude Park NOTE CHANGE OF VENUE:  The final FREE Tour de Bayou Cross Country Race this Thursday,  April 23  will be at Stude Park - 7575 N Picnic Ln, Houston, TX 77007 It has been moved from the Running Center at Memorial Park due to the Golf Tournament.  The races are free and open to everyone, you just have to promise to be careful! THANK YOU JOEL FOR THE ADULT POST-RACE BEVERAGES! ­ Sunday Long Run: Meet Up Change Once again a golf tournament at Memorial Park is impinging on our orderly running life! Thus, this week we will again be meeting for our Sunday Long Run in the parking lot of the old Starbucks (RIP) on Memorial Drive (5535 Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77007). The course will remain the same - just starting from a different meeting place. ­ Like Hydration? Please Help! We need a few volunteers to help with hydration stops for our Sunday long runs starting in June, as several regulars will be unavailable. If everyone takes a turn occasionally, the workload stays manageable. This is a great opportunity to give back to the club. Otherwise, we may need to change the course to the Bayou route and reduce support to just one stop during the hottest part of the year.
