Thanks to all who attended the BCRR Spring Banquet! It was a fun night celebrating an exciting year of running! Congrats to Theresa Pearsall for winning Queen of the Cookie Table!

Join us Sunday, June 2nd for a break from the routine by running along the Buffalo Bayou.

Afterwards, join us at Tacodeli  (1902 Washington Ave. D) - a Austin based taco chain serving a variety of… TACOS!!

WEEKLY CLUB RUNS:
Mellow Monday- Join us every Monday for a 3 mile recovery run around Memorial Park at 7:00 PM. Runners who are interested should park on the east side of the parking lot in front of the softball fields off of the Picnic Loop. Following a loop around Memorial, we head to a dinner venue for post running fun.
Wednesday at Rice University: Every Wednesday evening we meet at 6:30 PM at Rice University (run leaves at 6:40 PM sharp!). All levels are welcome. And the best part is the cheap beer at Valhalla afterwards. Parking is available at First Christian Church/School (1628 Rice Boulevard).
To park in the church parking lot, you need a BCRR bumper sticker. Please see Lisa Thompson for a sticker if you do not already have one.
Friday Speedwork (Memorial Park 5:30 AM): Contact Peter Griffiths for more information-  p_griffiths@bellsouth.net
Sunday Long Run (Memorial Park, 6:30 AM): Meet us at the Tennis Center (Old 0 Mile Marker) for a 10, 11, or 12 mile route around Memorial Park and through River Oaks. Immediately following the run, join us Whole Foods for coffee and conversation.
**Please note that in cases of inclement weather, i.e. thunder & lightning, group runs will be cancelled for safety reasons. Check the BCRR Facebook Page for the latest updates on run cancellations**

Summer Garage Sale 

Thank you to all who helped with the Garage Sale this weekend! It was a huge success – earning money to fund our relay entries and cleaning out some old treasures!

 Bayou Bash Relay – Saturday, May 13th
  
Next up for the Spring Series: The Bayou Bash Relay!! The HARRA club competition is extremely close, so BCRR needs a big turnout at the relay to capture the top spot! The club is covering the cost of racing for all members who are current with BCRR & HARRA. Race details can be found HERE. Your age group captains will be reaching out to you soon to organize teams:

The next race in the HARRA Spring Series is getting close! The 2017 Bellaire Trolley Run is scheduled for Saturday, April 8th

Oregon Wine Country Half Marathon

This fall, venture to Willamette Valley for a weekend of running, wine, and adventure! The race will be Sunday, September 3rd in wine country ~45 minutes from Portland.
