Alex’s 5K

Rockets Run - Sunday, November 17th
The Rockets Run will be Sunday, November 17th at Sam Houston Park. BCRR needs 26 volunteers:
2 Water Station Captains
18 Road Guards
2 Turn-around Captains
4 Start/Finish Captains
This event is a revenue builder for the club, which covers many party expenses. Please email christinabcrr@gmail.com to volunteer.
**NOTE: The BCRR Run will be moved to Saturday, November 16th to accommodate those volunteering for the Rocket’s Run.**

HARRA Cross Country Relay - Saturday, November 9th
The HARRA Fall Series continues with the Cross Country Relay at Stude Park - Saturday, November 9th @ 3:30PM. Your age group captains will be contacting you shortly to organize teams:

Happy Hour - Moon Tower
(Friday, November 8th, 2019) Head over to Moon Tower Inn (3004 Canal St.) A relaxed, outdoor brewpub known for its game meats & specialty hotdogs. See you starting at 7PM.
Sunday – Whole Foods
(Sunday, November 10th) - Join BCRR at the Whole Foods on Waugh for coffee and breakfast following the Sunday long run!

WEEKLY CLUB RUNS:
Mellow Monday- Join us every Monday for a 3 mile recovery run around Memorial Park at 7:00 PM. Runners who are interested should park on the east side of the parking lot in front of the softball fields off of the Picnic Loop. Following a loop around Memorial, we head to a dinner venue for post running fun.
Wednesday at Rice University: Every Wednesday evening we meet at 6:30 PM at Rice University (run leaves at 6:40 PM sharp!). All levels are welcome. And the best part is the cheap beer at Valhalla afterwards. Parking is available at First Christian Church/School (1628 Rice Boulevard).
To park in the church parking lot, you need a BCRR bumper sticker. Please see Lisa Thompson for a sticker if you do not already have one.
Sunday Long Run (Memorial Park, 6:30 AM): Meet us at the Tennis Center (Old 0 Mile Marker) for a 10, 11, or 12 mile route around Memorial Park and through River Oaks. Immediately following the run, join us Whole Foods for coffee and conversation.
**Please note that in cases of inclement weather, i.e. thunder & lightning, group runs will be cancelled for safety reasons. Check the BCRR Facebook Page for the latest updates on run cancellations**
