SATURDAY JUNE 29th:  Houston Hash House Harriers has invited BCRR to participate in their Houston Hash's Road Rally/Scavenger Hunt

For those who are interested and don't already know about the Hash House Harriers  (we assume most do)...

They are our crazy cousins.  They curse and drink beer and act silly.  But mostly the are just like us but just have obscene nicknames.  Anyone that plans on participating, once you get your team together, please RSVP by sending in the names at the link below.  That way we have a rough idea of how many are coming.

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1pisSbflec-T5oUkULDq_bAGg14RH6Z9GZlb7--Fv5WU/viewform

Also the following should be mentioned:

- As in any hash event, if you don't have a sense of humour, this might not be the place for you.
- No dogs, no kids.

start is 1pm, first car off around 1:30-2

Thanks

Eddie Rodriguez is out of the hospital but will stay in a hotel in Austin so he can be near the hospital.  He hopes to return briefly to Houston on June 29th and 30th.  Lisa Foronda has been raising money to help with Eddie's medical expenses and to cover travel expenses while he recovers.   So far she has raised over $15,000. You can send a PayPal donation to https://www.paypal.com/webapps/mpp/send-money-online and use the recipient email of edrod.fund@gmail.com.

Weekly Club Runs:

Wednesday (Rice University): Join us every Wednesday evening at Rice University for Sprints and Spirits. The group meets at the First Christian Church/School parking lot off Rice Blvd. (1628 Rice Blvd.) at 5:45 pm (run leaves at 6 pm). The Bayou Run (6.6 miles) is the usual route but there are shortcuts and alternative routes as well. All levels are welcome. And the best part is the cheap beer at Valhalla, a delightfully casual and economical watering hole, afterwards. Come on out! It's a great way to break up the stressful work week.

Friday Hills at Mount Bacon (Tanglewood): Join us for this weekly run from St. Martins Episcopal Church, 717 Sage Road to Mount Bacon. We meet in the church parking lot at the corner of Sage Road and Woodway Drive at 5:30 am. We have a 1.3 mile warm-up run to Mount Bacon and do 2 to 4 miles of hills with a 1.3 mile run back to the church.

Sunday Long Run (Memorial Park, 6:30AM): Join us for the weekly long run from Memorial Park zero-mile marker. We leave promptly at 6:30 and members typically run between 10 and 15 miles. Breakfast afterwards somewhere.
