The BCRR Awards Banquet is 6:00pm this Wednesday at St. Arnold's Brewery. Come and celebrate BCRR's 30th Anniversary with great beer, barbecue special guests and special collectors party favor for attendees.

This is the time we give recognition to our members for running achievements, volunteer efforts, and elect next year's board of directors. Its time to elect a new Board of Directors for our club. The Candidates for the next Board are as follows:

To cast your vote we will open voting on the website on May 21st www.bcrr.org or you can cast a paper ballot at the Awards Banquet. To vote on the website click on the "About Us" tab and select "Our Board" tab and go to "Election Central". The password is literally "PleaseLetMeVote!" (no spaces between words).
Admission to the Banquet is only $15 (only $10 if your volunteered for the Jingle Bell Run, Rockets Run or Darling Dash). Admission includes a barbecue beef brisket or chicken dinner with potato salad, barbecue beans, green salad, bread, desert and of course all of the St. Arnold's beers or root beer on tap. For vegetarians we will have a baked potato with vegetarian chili. Soft drinks, tea and water also available but Please no outside alcohol allowed.
This is also the time of year to renew your annual membership which you can easily do at anytime on our website www.bcrr.org Just look for the Resources Tab and select Join or Renew. Or you can just renew at the banquet or any Wednesday at Valhalla. Just look for Rosie or Susan Cita. Annual Memberships are $25 for individuals and $30 for families. You also get a $5 discount with your HARRA Membership.
Directions to St. Arnold's:
- From the Katy Freeway: Take I-10 towards downtown, take the Hardy/McKee/Nance exit. At the first stop sign (Hardy), take a left. At the next stop sign (Lyons), take a right.
- From I-45: Take the I-10 East exit, then take the first exit on I-10: Hardy/McKee/Nance. At the first stop sign (Hardy), take a left. At the next stop sign (Lyons), take a right.
- From 59: Take the Lyons Exit. Then go west on Lyons until you reach the brewery.
- From East Freeway: Take I-10 towards downtown, take the San Jacinto St. exit. Make a u-turn under the freeway. At the first stop sign (Hardy), take a left. At the next stop sign (Lyons), take a right.
- From Downtown: Take San Jacinto north out of downtown. At the signal at I-10, take a right, but stay on the feeder road. At the first stop sign (Hardy), take a left. At the next stop sign (Lyons), take a right.

WEEKLY CLUB RUNS
Wednesday at Rice University: Every Wednesday evening we meet at 5:45 at Rice University (run leaves at 6 pm sharp!). All levels are welcome. And the best part is the cheap beer at Valhalla afterwards. Parking is available at First Christian Church/School (1628 Rice Boulevard).
Friday Hills at Mount Bacon (Tanglewood):Join us for this weekly run from St. Martins Episcopal Church, 717 Sage Road to Mount Bacon. We meet in the church parking lot at the corner of Sage Road and Woodway Drive at 5:30 am. We have a 1.3 mile warm-up run to Mount Bacon and do 2 to 4 miles of hills with a 1.3 mile run back to the church.
Sunday Long Run (Memorial Park, 6:30 AM): Join us for the weekly long run from Memorial Park zero-mile marker. We leave promptly at 6:30 and members typically run between 10 and 15 miles.
