LP Run – Saturday, April 29th
The 50th Anniversary of the LP Run is here! The historical race will be run on Saturday, April 29th. The goal is to run as many RPMs (laps) as you can in 33 ½ minutes. A special award this year will be presented to the club with the most miles run!

Bayou Bash Relay – Saturday, May 13th
Next up for the Spring Series: The Bayou Bash Relay!! The HARRA club competition is extremely close, so BCRR needs a big turnout at the relay to capture the top spot! The club is covering the cost of racing for all members who are current with BCRR & HARRA. Your age group captains will be reaching out to you soon to organize teams:

Oregon Wine Country Half Marathon
This fall, venture to Willamette Valley for a weekend of running, wine, and adventure! The race will be Sunday, September 3rd in wine country ~45 minutes from Portland. Happy Hour – Riel
(Friday, April 28th, 2017) Please join us this Friday at Riel (1927 Fairview St.). A stylish bistro serving globally inspired shared plates, cocktails, beer, and sparkling wine. See you there at 6:30 PM
Sunday – Whole Foods
(Sunday, April 30th, 2017) Join us immediately following the long run for coffee and breakfast at Whole Foods on Waugh.
WEEKLY CLUB RUNS:
Mellow Monday- Join us every Monday for a 3 mile recovery run around Memorial Park at 7:00p.m.Runners who are interested should park on the east side of the parking lot in front of the softball fields off of the Picnic Loop. Following a loop around Memorial, we head to a dinner venue for post running fun.
Wednesday at Rice University: Every Wednesday evening we meet at 6:30 at Rice University (run leaves at 6:40 pm sharp!). All levels are welcome. And the best part is the cheap beer at Valhalla afterwards. Parking is available at First Christian Church/School (1628 Rice Boulevard).
To park in the church parking lot, you need a BCRR bumper sticker. Please see Lisa Thompson for a sticker if you do not already have one.
Friday Speedwork (Memorial Park 5:30 AM): Contact Peter Griffiths for more information- p_griffiths@ bellsouth.net
Sunday Long Run (Memorial Park, 6:30 AM): Meet us at the O mile marker for a 10, 11, or 12 mile route around Memorial Park and through River Oaks. Immediately following the run, join us Whole Foods for coffee and conversation.
**Please note that in cases of inclement weather, i.e. thunder & lightning, group runs will be cancelled for safety reasons. Check the BCRR Facebook Page for the latest updates on run cancellations**
