Summer Garage Sale – May 5th & 6th
BCRR is hosting a Summer Garage sale at the Modern B&B (4003 Hazard St.)
Friday from 8AM – 2PM & 5PM – 7PM
Saturday from 7AM – 2 PM
We need volunteers to help us with the event at the Modern!
Please drop off or stop by to give a hand and sell your treasures!
Garage sale proceeds will pay for entries to the Bayou Bash Relay for all our BCRR/HARRA active members.

Join us Sunday, May 7th for a break from the routine by running along the Buffalo Bayou.

LP Run – Saturday, April 29th
Congrats to all who ran in circles Saturday evening to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the LP Run! Congrats to BCRR's Allyson Serrao for winning overall Masters Women! BARC narrowly beat BCRR in the overall mileage challenge. Which leads us into our next HARRA race of the season.........

Bayou Bash Relay – Saturday, May 13th
Next up for the Spring Series: The Bayou Bash Relay!! The HARRA club competition is extremely close, so BCRR needs a big turnout at the relay to capture the top spot! The club is covering the cost of racing for all members who are current with BCRR & HARRA. Race details can be found HERE. Your age group captains will be reaching out to you soon to organize teams:

Oregon Wine Country Half Marathon
This fall, venture to Willamette Valley for a weekend of running, wine, and adventure! The race will be Sunday, September 3rd in wine country ~45 minutes from Portland. (Friday, May 5th, 2017) Please join us this Friday at Petrol Station (985 Wakefield Dr.). A cozy dive bar with a variety of draft beer and the BEST burgers! See you there at 6:30 PM
Sunday – Whole Foods – to return next Sunday
WEEKLY CLUB RUNS:
Mellow Monday- Join us every Monday for a 3 mile recovery run around Memorial Park at 7:00p.m.Runners who are interested should park on the east side of the parking lot in front of the softball fields off of the Picnic Loop. Following a loop around Memorial, we head to a dinner venue for post running fun.
Wednesday at Rice University: Every Wednesday evening we meet at 6:30 at Rice University (run leaves at 6:40 pm sharp!). All levels are welcome. And the best part is the cheap beer at Valhalla afterwards. Parking is available at First Christian Church/School (1628 Rice Boulevard).
To park in the church parking lot, you need a BCRR bumper sticker. Please see Lisa Thompson for a sticker if you do not already have one.
Friday Speedwork (Memorial Park 5:30 AM): Contact Peter Griffiths for more information- p_griffiths@bellsouth.net
Sunday Long Run (Memorial Park, 6:30 AM): Meet us at the O mile marker for a 10, 11, or 12 mile route around Memorial Park and through River Oaks. Immediately following the run, join us Whole Foods for coffee and conversation.
