BCRR ran strong at the relay this weekend, bringing in 18 teams!! With runners ranging from 25 years old to 76 years young, we brought the talent!

In honor of her birthday, Gina Salazar and her puppy, Bownita, will be sponsoring the tab following the Wednesday night run!

BCRR Spring Banquet
Wednesday, May 24th @ St. Arnold's Brewery (2000 Lyons Ave)
6:30 PM
Tickets will be $15 at the door (cash or check) – this includes dinner from Lasagna House and beer!!
To start a new BCRR Tradition, we will have a Cookie Table! Members are invited to bring their best baked goods to share! We will have a vote for the best tasting treat to receive a special award!

Happy Hour –Piggy's Kitchen & Bar
(Friday, May 19th, 2017) Please join us this Friday at Daily Review aka Piggy’s Kitchen and Bar (3412 W Lamar St). Formerly known as the Daily Review, Piggy’s Kitchen and Bar hosts pork inspired food, a bar stocked with local spirits, and Houston brewed beer. See you there at 6:30 PM
Sunday – Whole Foods
(Sunday, May 21st, 2017) Join us immediately following the long run for coffee and breakfast at Whole Foods on Waugh.
WEEKLY CLUB RUNS:
Mellow Monday- Join us every Monday for a 3 mile recovery run around Memorial Park at 7:00p.m.Runners who are interested should park on the east side of the parking lot in front of the softball fields off of the Picnic Loop. Following a loop around Memorial, we head to a dinner venue for post running fun.
Wednesday at Rice University: Every Wednesday evening we meet at 6:30 at Rice University (run leaves at 6:40 pm sharp!). All levels are welcome. And the best part is the cheap beer at Valhalla afterwards. Parking is available at First Christian Church/School (1628 Rice Boulevard).
To park in the church parking lot, you need a BCRR bumper sticker. Please see Lisa Thompson for a sticker if you do not already have one.
Friday Speedwork (Memorial Park 5:30 AM): Contact Peter Griffiths for more information- p_griffiths@bellsouth.net
Sunday Long Run (Memorial Park, 6:30 AM): Meet us at the O mile marker for a 10, 11, or 12 mile route around Memorial Park and through River Oaks. Immediately following the run, join us Whole Foods for coffee and conversation.
