BCRR WEEKLY UPDATE - January 20 to January 26

Congrats to all who ran, PR’d, cheered, and simply finished 13.1 or 26.2 yesterday. The wind was tough but the cool weather showed up just in time!

Wednesday Night @ Valhalla
Wednesday, January 22, head to Valhalla to celebrate another year around the sun for Maggie Kirkpatrick! Happy Birthday Maggie!! 
Super Bowl Sunday

Happy Hour - Under the Radar
(January 24th, 2020) - Join us Friday evening at Under the Radar (1506 Truxillo St.) for a local Houston Brews on the outdoor patio. Meet starting around 7PM **Post to the BCRR FB if you’re headed their earlier and friends might join you!**

Sunday – Whole Foods

(January 26th, 2020) - Join us Sunday following the long run for breakfast at Whole Foods on Waugh.
Mellow Monday- Join us every Monday for a 3 mile recovery run around Memorial Park at 7:00 PM. Runners who are interested should park on the east side of the parking lot in front of the softball fields off of the Picnic Loop. Following a loop around Memorial, we head to a dinner venue for post running fun.
Wednesday at Rice University: Every Wednesday evening we meet at 6:30 PM at Rice University (run leaves at 6:40 PM sharp!). All levels are welcome. And the best part is the cheap beer at Valhalla afterwards. Parking is available at First Christian Church/School (1628 Rice Boulevard).
To park in the church parking lot, you need a BCRR bumper sticker. Please see Lisa Thompson for a sticker if you do not already have one.
Friday Speedwork (Memorial Park 5:30 AM): Contact Peter Griffiths for more information-
Sunday Long Run (Memorial Park, 6:30 AM): Meet us at the Tennis Center (Old 0 Mile Marker) for a 10, 11, or 12 mile route around Memorial Park and through River Oaks. Immediately following the run, join us Whole Foods for coffee and conversation.
**Please note that in cases of inclement weather, i.e. thunder & lightning, group runs will be cancelled for safety reasons. Check the BCRR Facebook Page for the latest updates on run cancellations**
