BAYOU BASH RELAY - APRIL 27 Last Chance to signup for a BCRR team up for the Bayou Bash Relay!    Our own race! The race is a 4 person x 2.2 mile relay and is the penultimate race of the HARRA Spring Series.    When: Saturday, April 27th, 4PM (Followed immediately by the HARRA Member Appreciation Family Picnic, which is FREE to all relay runners and HARRA members.   Where: TC Jester Park, 201 T C Jester Blvd, Houston, TX 77018   We strongly encourage all to participate in the race either as a runner or a volunteer (or both)!     RELAY DIVISION CAPTAINS: Open and Masters Women: Christina Young (christinabcrr@gmail.com) Senior Women (50+): Anna Helm (gaslyte@yahoo.com) Veteran (60+) and Ultra-Vet Women (70+): Kathi Mahon (mahonmobile54@gmail.com) Open and Masters Male: Andrew Young (young.andrew.joseph@gmail.com) Senior (50+) and Veteran (60+) Male: Joel DuBois  (jadrun58@gmail.com) Ultra-Vet (70+) and Uber-Vet (80+) Male: Mike Mangan (mikemangan41@yahoo.com) JUNIORS (18 and under, any combination): Kathi Mahon (mahonmobile54@gmail.com)   BCRR WILL PAY FOR OUR TEAMS*!  *Must be a current member of BCRR and HARRA for BCRR to pay for team.   Both BCRR  and HARRA  have an "Early Bird" registration period so it will be easy (and cheaper) to renew in time for the race (both memberships good through 6/30/25).    MORE DETAILS   Not able to run? BCRR 40th ANNIVERSARY PARTY - May 17th

We invite all Bayou City Road Runners - past, present and future - to join us for an evening commemorating four decades of BCRR running history. We will have dinner, drinks and riveting speeches reliving our glorious past and significant contributions to the Houston Running Community. We will also present our year end awards and hold annual board elections.   When: May 17, 2024, 6:00PM to 9PM.    Where: Fellowship Hall, Saint Theresa Catholic Church, 6622 Haskell Street, Houston, TX. Just across the street from the Mecca of Houston running, Memorial Park   What:  Menu: Italian meal catered by Chef Memo. (A selection of appetizers, salads, and pasta dishes ). Drinks (beer, wine, ice tea, lemonade, water)    All for the low, low price of $10 ($15 at the door), ensuring an accessible celebration for all. You do not need to be a current member of BCRR to attend (but of course we strongly encourage it!) Brooks - Wear Test Opportunity

Brooks is seeking runners to join their Wear Test program. As a participant, runners will periodically receive free gear. In exchange, they will ask testers to run and walk in our gear, and complete an online survey to share their experience running in the gear.    "At Brooks we celebrate diversity, equity, and inclusion and encourage runners of different races, abilities, genders, ages, sexual orientation, body types, and backgrounds to apply."    They are are particularly seeking people who wear a women’s size  6.5, 8.5, 10, 10.5, 12, or 13.5 shoe and a men's size 7, 8.5, 9, 10.5, or 12 shoe.    ­ BROOKS

HARRA Spring Runner of the Season SPRING 2024 ROTS results are up for 4 out of 5 races this season! Click here for the leaderboard to see how you rank against your friends and rivals. Some BCRR folks are up there at the tippy-top!   Calculate what you need to run in the remaining HARRA Series race, The LP Run, on May 11th. Please inspect your results and contact clubs@harra.org if there any changes that need to be made. About the RotS   RotS standings will be calculated on the best 3 out of 5 individual races in the HARRA Spring Series. Your points also count for your club standings in the Interclub Competitions HARRA ROTS LEADERBOARD
