­ MELLOW MONDAY MILESTONE  ­

­ Mellow Monday is officially 10 years old! Our relaxed loop around the park has been a tremendous success as the gateway drug to our BCRR running obsession. Thanks go to Lisa Thompson for championing this weekly event and kudos to all who have participated over the years.    Mellow Monday meets every Monday, 7PM, at the track in front of the Memorial Park Tennis Center.  ­

Renew Membership ­ For 2024-2025 Year ­ BCRR's Running Year (2024-2025) started July 1st! If you have not yet renewed, your membership is now expired. (Annual memberships run July 1st to June 30th.)    Current HARRA Member? Use Code HARRA2024 for $5 discount. NEW BCRR Singlets Available! These singlets are a lightweight grid fabric like the last order and available in men's and women's sizes for a mere $20! Perfect for this weather!    Available Wednesdays post run at Valhalla and by arrangement on Sunday at start of long run (contact houstonbcrr@gmail.com to arrange).   We accept cash, check, credit card or Venmo.

Socialize at Valhalla after.    😀🕖 Friday 7:00PM: NO OFFICIAL HAPPY HOUR   🏃🏃‍♀️ Sunday 6:30AM: BCRR Long Run from the Tennis Center at Memorial Park. Breakfast at Whole Foods on Waugh.

Upcoming Events: Save The Date

Saturday, September 21, 2024: BCRR Beach Day at Surfside. Details TBA   Saturday, September. 28, 2024: Road Kill XC Relay, Bear Creek Park. Gird your loins for the annual fall 4 X 2-mile cross-country relay. First race of the HARRA Fall Series. BCRR pays for teams (all runners must be current BCRR and HARRA members). If you would like to help organize BCRR teams, contact houstonbcrr@gmail.com.

Weekly Club Runs

Mellow Monday 7 pm at Memorial Park Tennis Center (on trail in front of Center) for a 3 mile casual paced run around the Park and dinner to follow	Wednesday Run 6:30 pm at First Christian Church for a 3-6 mile run around Rice University and Hermann Park followed by drinks at Valhalla	Friday Speedwork 5:30 am at Memorial Park Running Center. Contact Peter Griffiths for more info	Sunday Long Run 6:30 am at Memorial Park Tennis Center (on trail in front of Center) for a 10-12 mile supported run w/ water at 2 locations followed by breakfast at Whole Foods in Montrose (701 Waugh Dr Houston, TX 77019)
