Thank You Party Hosts!

This was a TWO (2) PARTY Weekend and BCRR rose to the occasion!    Thank you Lisa Thompson and Avi Moss for hosting their epic Halloween Party at the Modern B&B on Friday.    Thank you Paul and Sue Schulz for hosting the wonderful Houston Half Marathon Post-Race Party in their home on Sunday.

Congratulations Houston Half Marathon/10K Runners ­ BCRR showed up in force for the Houston Half-Marathon on Sunday.     Kudos to everyone who ran. Alex's 5K & Kids' K - Nov. 2nd Run for Autism Charity!

Final countdown the 14th annual Alex's 5k this Saturday, Nov. 2nd at 8AM.     It's not too late to sign up to run or volunteer!   Remember: We will be staging the race from a new venue: Avondale House (3737 O’Meara Drive, Houston, Texas 77025). We will not be at MacGregor Park, so don't reflexively drive there Saturday morning!    Volunteer: We could use more volunteers, so if you can help please contact Christina (christinabcrr@gmail.com) or sign up online HERE.   Packet Pickup: This Friday, Nov. 1st at Fleet Feet Greenbriar - 11AM to 6PM. (join us for happy hour after at Vineology (see below).   Thanks to all of you, we have raised over $230,000 for autism charities over the last 13 years! Harvest Marathon Relay - Nov. 3rd We have space for more runners! Don't be left out! Contact Steve Hasson (shasson@earthlink.net) to get on the team!   The Houston Food Bank is sponsoring a fundraising Relay Marathon, and BCRR is  sponsoring two teams of 10 persons each ($1000 total). Teammates run ~2.5 miles 1 lap at a time.   Kudos to Steve Hasson for arranging this great opportunity to give back and have fun!

Happy Hour

Vineology - Friday - 6:30PM Join us for Happy Hour at  Vineology,  2314 Bissonnet Street, Houston, TX 77005, Friday, Nov 1st at 6:30PM. It is adjacent to Baileson Brewery, and the two establishments cooperate. You may order beer, etc from Bailson and wine from Vineology.    You may chose to partake in their joint Steak Night - from the Free Grillin' Food truck. They have steak, fish and vegetarian options.   We will be there early 6:-6:30PM, immediately after Alex's 5K Packet Pickup at Fleet Feet Greenbriar.

­ Sunday Hydration Support BCRR Hydration duty will resume for our long run this weekend.                                             🥛🥛🥛   Who likes water during the Sunday long runs? Our Sunday morning hydration team could use a your help. Please contact Loris at Loris0105@yahoo.com for more information on how to volunteer!

Weekly Club Runs

Mellow Monday 7 pm at Memorial Park Tennis Center (on trail in front of Center) for a 3 mile casual paced run around the Park and dinner to follow Wednesday Run 6:30 pm at First Christian Church for a 3-6 mile run around Rice University and Hermann Park followed by drinks at Valhalla Friday Speedwork 5:30 am at Memorial Park Running Center. Contact Peter Griffiths for more info Sunday Long Run 6:30 am at Memorial Park Tennis Center (on trail in front of Center) for a 10-12 mile supported run w/ water at 2 locations followed by breakfast at Whole Foods in Montrose (701 Waugh Dr Houston, TX 77019)
