Christina and Andrew Young take Twin Cities! The
Young family traveled to Minnesota for the Twin cities Marathon weekend
of events. The whole gang got in on the actions. Addison had a blast at
the Toddler Trot, Isabel collected last place at the diaper dash,
Christina ran the 10 Mile in 1:24, and Andrew tackled the marathon in
2:49.. The leaves were turning and the weather was cool and crisp,
making for a gorgeous and favorable day to race. | |

Upcoming races: HARRA Races** | | | | | | | Practice for the Tour is upon us! | | | Your favorite free cross country series is back, brought to you by founder Roger Boak and HARRA The Deets: 3 Thursdays in October (notice-2nd, 3rd, and 4th) courses set by Anna Helm and Joel DuBois. Run one, or run all three. Winners recognized at each stage. Results are scored for each stage, separately, together. and age-graded.
All races start at 6 PM. Please arrive early to park and sign the waiver. Joel DuBois and Adam LeSage have worked their collective magic to obtain Karbach as our beer sponsor for this fall. Stage 2 - Oct 15 — Cullen Running Center - Memorial Park Stage 3- Oct 22 — White Oak / Stude Park | Harvest Marathon Relay benefitting Houston Food Bank | BCRR Runners, On
Sunday, November 1 there is a great opportunity to support the Houston
Food Bank while RUNNING! The Houston Food Bank will be sponsoring a
fundraising Relay Marathon, and BCRR is going to sponsor two or three teams
of 12-13 persons each ($1000 total paid by BCRR), so we just need
runners! If we can gather 12-13 people per team to run 2-2.25 miles
each (1/4 mile at a time) we can do a good deed for the Houston Food
Bank, and get some good PR for BCRR, and have a lot of fun doing it!
This year there is a special addition to the Relay, the Organizers are
assembling a team of runners to make a try to break the GUINNESS WORLD RECORD for a MARATHON RELAY! It is likely to be a very exciting day as these ultra-fast sprinters rocket around the track! Please let me know if you are interested in helping out.
The Relay Marathon is Sunday, November 1, at 7:00am, on the Wendell D.
Ley Track at Rice University. I hope that you will join us! Steve Please email BCRR Prez Steve Hasson if you are interested! | | | | Alex's 5K is around the corner! | | | This will be the 16th annual edition of our race.
