Poppy's Run for Life, organized by BCRR member Caryn Honig in memory of
her father and grandfather, who both died by suicide. From Caryn: "It
is my hope that through education and awareness, those suffering from
depression and/or a mental illness will seek help. Poppy’s Run For Life
is a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) organization whose mission is to honor our
loved ones who have died by suicide and to raise funds and awareness
about suicide and mental health resources. All funds raised go to the
suicide prevention and awareness programs and services at Alexand JFS
and the Montrose Center. So far, we have donated $30,000 to both
organizations to be used specifically for suicide prevention, education
and awareness programs."
