THIS WEDNESDAY! ­ Goodbye to Ronan ­ ­ Valhalla Post Run ­ Ronan Harris and his family will be returning to the 🍀Old Sod🍀 soon but he won't be leaving us with an "Irish goodbye"! Instead he will be sponsoring the tab this Wednesday at Valhalla after the run! Come out and and give him a proper BCRR send off.   Run Starts at 6:30PM from First Christian Church. BCRR at the Hyrox World Championships Congratulations to Ally Serrao for her performance in the Hyrox World Championships in Nice, France, where she was an invited competitor in the Pro Division. HYROX incorporates intervals of running with various feats of strength.   Ally placed  6th out of 37 in her age group and was 2nd American! Awesome! (photo:D.Piper)   RESULTS

HARRA SUMMER CELEBRATION - June 23rd  ­ ­ When: 6pm, Sunday, June 23rd, 2024 Where: Social Beer Garden HTX, 3101 San Jacinto St, Houston, TX 77004   It's time for the annual HARRA Summer Celebration! Come and mingle with runners from various running clubs in town! Celebrate accomplishments with our club members! Trash talk with your “frenemies” and rivals!    Awards for the fall and spring series will be given, including Runner of the Season (RotS), Club/Team Competitions, Ironfoot, and Top Volunteers (VVIP). BCRR generally kicks a$$ in all these catagories.    Award Predictions: Runner of the Season : Results haven't been tabulated for the LP Run yet so things could change, but looks like BCRR Women (50-59) will sweep the top 5 spots, and Chad Holmes and Paul Schulz will likely place in their divisions. $$ to the top 3 in each age division. Check your standings here.   Club and Team Competition: BCRR will take Club and Vet Women Divisions.   Dinner buffet featuring meaty and vegan/vegetarian options. Limited to 150 guests, so sign up early to secure a spot. The cost to HARRA/non-HARRA members for beer and beverages and catered food are as follows: June 9 through June 22: $20 for HARRA members, $40 for non-HARRA members June 23 at the door: $25 for HARRA members, $45 for non-HARRA members   NEW THIS YEAR! Silent Auction to Support Houston Running Clubs This year, HARRA is introducing a silent auction to support running clubs in the Houston area. They are seeking donations, such as free race entries, running club gear, or other items that can be auctioned off during our Summer Celebration. The money raised from the auction will be used to fund free events, such as community runs and long runs, which will be hosted by running clubs interested in collaborating with HARRA. Mellow Monday 7 pm at Memorial Park Tennis Center (on trail in front of Center) for a 3 mile casual paced run around the Park and dinner to follow	Wednesday Run 6:30 pm at First Christian Church for a 3-6 mile run around Rice University and Hermann Park followed by drinks at Valhalla	Friday Speedwork 5:30 am at Memorial Park Running Center. Contact Peter Griffiths for more info	Sunday Long Run 6:30 am at Memorial Park Tennis Center (on trail in front of Center) for a 10-12 mile supported run w/ water at 2 locations followed by breakfast at Whole Foods in Montrose (701 Waugh Dr Houston, TX 77019)
