­ HARRA Summer Celebration ­

June Harris Receives  HARRA Above and Beyond Award ­ ­ The annual HARRA Summer Celebration was held on Sunday at the Social Beer Garden HTX. BCRR was well represented as usual.  Susan Cita once again organized a delicious Mexican buffet with all the fixings. Thanks Susan!   The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the HARRA Above and Beyond Award to our own June Harris, who is an omnipresent volunteer and advocate for BCRR, HARRA, and the entire Houston running community. She also served as HARRA President from 2028-2021 and continues to serve on the HARRA Board as Past-President. The Above and Beyond Award is HARRA's highest honor, given to individuals who  have demonstrated outstanding service and dedication to HARRA programs and events over many years.    BCRR members excelled in the other award categories as well...   HARRA Running Awards: Spring Runner of the Season:    RotS Awards are based on age-graded performance in the HARRA Series races.Top 3 in each division will receive cash awards. NEW BCRR Singlets Available! We have a new batch of BCRR singlets! These singlets are a lightweight grid fabric like the last order and available in men's and women's sizes for a mere $20! Mellow Monday 7 pm at Memorial Park Tennis Center (on trail in front of Center) for a 3 mile casual paced run around the Park and dinner to follow	Wednesday Run 6:30 pm at First Christian Church for a 3-6 mile run around Rice University and Hermann Park followed by drinks at Valhalla	Friday Speedwork 5:30 am at Memorial Park Running Center. Contact Peter Griffiths for more info	Sunday Long Run 6:30 am at Memorial Park Tennis Center (on trail in front of Center) for a 10-12 mile supported run w/ water at 2 locations followed by breakfast at Whole Foods in Montrose (701 Waugh Dr Houston, TX 77019)
