| Sunday
was race day for BCRR! It was a beautiful day to get out and run -
temps in the high 50s and low humidity at the start led to some fast
finishes (or at least more comfortable efforts). Congratulations to all! |

| The Space City 10-Miler is the first individual race of the HARRA Fall Series. This was the 20th anniversary of the race, but the first time that it was managed by our sister club, Bay Area Running Club (BARC). They did an excellent job on their first endeavor. BCRR was well represented by 19 runners: Podium Finishers (Age-Group Divisions): 1st Amy Tan (1:24) PB! 1st Brenda Hilton (1:55) 1st Avi Moss (1:09:16) 2nd Lisa Thompson (1:22:48) 2nd Fred Ward (1:43:32) 3rd Valentino Julien (55:04) FASTEST! 3rd Oguzhan Guven (1:05:22) 3rd Fred Steves (1:47:39) Jacqueline Flaherty (1:15:24), Sam Pace (1:29:43), Kathi Mahon (1:59:52), June Harris (2:00:37), Theresa Pearsall (1:43:36), Gloria Mahoney (1:46:10), Camille Fitzsimmons (2:08:12), Tom Bongiorno (1:05:10), Christopher Farrokhnia (1:03:20), John Fredrickson ( 2:41:45) Complete Results After the race we were welcomed to a terrific Post-Race Party hosted by Ron Morgan and Theresa Pearsall. Ron runs for BCRR and Theresa for BARC - proof that mixed marriages work! Thanks
to everyone who ran for BCRR and to Ron and Theresa for hosting us in
their home. Next HARRA Race: The Houston Half Marathon - October 29! |
