­ BCRR 40th ANNIVERSARY PARTY - RESCHEDULED FOR MAY 31st! We hope that everyone impacted by power outages and property damages is well on the way to recovery.   The BCRR 40th Anniversary Celebration, originally scheduled for last Friday, May 17th, has been rescheduled for Friday, May 31st!   If you have registered for the May 17th event and cannot make the new date, we will issue a refund (or you may chose to donate your fee to the Houston Food Bank instead). Please email HoustonBCRR@gmail.com if you need to amend your registration.   If you could not attend on May 17th but are free on May 31st, sign up today!   DETAILS: When: NEW DATE - Friday, May 31, 2024, 6:00PM to 9PM.    Where: Fellowship Hall, Saint Theresa Catholic Church, 6622 Haskell Street, Houston, TX. Just across the street from the Mecca of Houston running, Memorial Park   What:  Menu: Italian meal catered by Chef Memo. (A selection of appetizers, salads, and pasta dishes). Drinks (beer, wine, ice tea, lemonade, water), dessert    $20 -through May 30th, 11:59PM $25 May 31st at the door Kids under 12 FREE (do not need to register online)   You do not need to be a current member of BCRR to attend (but of course we strongly encourage it!) Global Running Day 5K - June 5th  ­ FREE Collaborative Community Run with HARRA & other Run Clubs ­ When: 7:15pm, Wednesday, June 5th, 2024 Where: Frost Town Brewing, 100 N Jackson St, 77002 We are joining with HARRA and several other running clubs to celebrate the 2024 Global Running Day with the Houston running community! This is a FREE community run. All paces welcome! This event will be in lieu of our usual Wednesday night run.   Global Running Day is celebrated annually on the first Wednesday of June. It is a worldwide celebration of running that encourages everyone to get moving and connect with others in our local running community.   Intro at 7:15 pm, run at 7:30 pm. There will be post-run refreshments and giveaways- you could win a free race entry and more!    A great opportunity to meet other runners and spread the word about BCRR! ­ LEARN MORE

Mellow Monday 7 pm at Memorial Park Tennis Center (on trail in front of Center) for a 3 mile casual paced run around the Park and dinner to follow	Wednesday Run 6:30 pm at First Christian Church for a 3-6 mile run around Rice University and Hermann Park followed by drinks at Valhalla	Friday Speedwork 5:30 am at Memorial Park Running Center. Contact Peter Griffiths for more info	Sunday Long Run 6:30 am at Memorial Park Tennis Center (on trail in front of Center) for a 10-12 mile supported run w/ water at 2 locations followed by breakfast at Whole Foods in Montrose (701 Waugh Dr Houston, TX 77019)
